From Edinburgh:
- LRT 37/47/x47 service from Princes Street, North Bridge, Newington

- First Bus number 62 (pdf file), marked for Peebles/Galashiels/Melrose
- McEwans 100 or 101 marked for Biggar/Dumfries
From the South:
- First Bus number 62, 62A or 62B (pdf file) marked for Edinburgh
- McEwans 100 or 101 marked for Edinburgh
All buses - Get off at stop outside Shottstown Miners. For the High School, walk past Shottstown Miners Club toward the BP filling station. At the filling station branch right and follow the Carlops Road for 300 yards to Penicuik High School

Band practices are held in Penicuik High School ('A' marker) on Mondays and Shottstown Miners Club ('B' marker) on Thursday nights.

By Road
From the North:
Exit the Edinburgh City Bypass East at Straiton Junction and follow A701 to Penicuik.
Shottstown Miners Club is on the main road, John Street, approx 300 yards after Tesco filling station, on the left.
For Penicuik High School, carry on past Shottstown Miners Club branching right at the BP filling station and continue for 300 yards to Penicuik High School.
From the South:
Follow the A703 North untill Leadburn crossroads, continue straight onto the A701 to Penicuik.
Stay on the A701 and 300 yards after the BP filling station, Shottstown Miners Club is on the right.
For Penicuik High School, take a left just at the BP filling station and continue for 300 yards on the Carlops Road, Penicuik High School is on the right.

Follow the A720 North to Ninemileburn and take the fork onto the A766 to Penicuik.
This road brings you straight to Penicuik High School.
Shottstown Miners Club is a further 300 yards on to the main road, John Street, branch left for Edinburgh and Shottstown Miners Club is on the right.
